Explanation of the trade: After getting scammed of 325$ from someone here on Sythe (Ghostmane), he messaged me after the incident saying that he feels sorry to what happened to me and he has a comp account that he can sell for a cheap price to me.

How they scammed: I was keen on doing the trade via middleman, but he said that he does not trust any of the midman here because he was scammed here before by a midman. But seeing how he's really close to some big people here, I kinda trusted him and we both agreed to do the trade by paying half first then he'll give me the info over. However, upon payment of the first half, he told me that he will need to wait for his brother to trade over what his brother owns and he would need his brother to change the email. It's been 2 days and now I cannot message him on Discord. Concluding that he is a scammer.

It's been days and he has not sent me any info. Though it was stupid of me to trust and do direct. Maybe it's hard to do a direct trade nowadays. I was too blinded by the fact that he's really close with some good people here and with some former staff I think. I also noticed some redflags while waiting for the info. He mentioned the account being comped but the quests are not even done. He said his brother was "busy" but I always see the account on. So idk anymore.

 

Just to add, I don't think he cares at all or idk. His account (not sure if it's really his) is always on in-game. Also, he changed his profile picture on Discord. He definitely blocked me on Discord because I cannot add or DM him but, on another account, I can add him or is in mutual server and is searchable.
