Name Change

I'm looking to change my name but I'm having trouble finding one, could anyone help me or let me in on how you find your rare names..?

Do you simply just search them or..

Be wary though, sometimes people may try and snipe your name.

 

You just try and get whatever you can :l

For the really rare names, though, people buy 'em

 

Jagex was releasing names starting with the first letters of the alphabet. People knew what letter they were on tried to snipe those names.

They've stopped releasing names for the time being. You'd have to get pretty lucky to find a rare name that's available atm.

 

How do you know when they start deleting or, renaming old accounts?

 

You track their progress.

Via ignore list or whatever, but you follow them as they free. Hence, it's obvious once they've stopped.

 

doesnt it only take a few seconds though to change your name? if both parties are ready for the name change they should be able to do it faster then someone else?

also cant help notice your postcount... a little over a year and 7k posts?

 

People set up auto clickers.

 

Right now you can easily type in 3 letter jibberish and get a name, if that's what you're into.

 

There was a lot of competition when Jagex released really rare names. Basically you just had to get lucky (eg: I beat everyone to the name "Fletching" and I was only on dial up speed). The difference between beating the competition to a released name, or not, was literally down to split seconds.

Basically if you have a name on your friend/ignore list and Jagex releases it, the name will change to numbers (eg: [#692997287] ). When this occurs you know the name is available to take as a character name/display name.

 

It would be amazing to snipe extremely rare names like that.

But yea, it has turned out to be a nice side-income.

 

I got the name "Bruiser" a few weeks ago and I wasn't really expecting a rare name but was just seeing if they were available.

 

i'd buy a 2 letter name for 50m

 

If you want a rare name, you have to think of a name that everyone thinks about first eg: God, Epic, . OR like a 1, 2 letter name because they are very limited. Im just wondering , how much could pk go for? the guy who has PK is one lucky bastard

 

I have sold around 30+ accs and made over 700m from it.

 

I think he ment getting his own rare name, it's pretty hard but goodluck trying.
