I hate to have to do this but the kid has given me no choice, really.

I have done three homework assignments for him. The locations of these assignments can be found here:

The third one he came to me on msn and asked me to do a comparison essay for him. It's in the MSN chat log, just look for the term "fail" and it will bring up him saying "if I don't do this I will fail English"

Here is what is going on.

We agreed that I would do his homework, and in return he would pay me when his grades get in. I said cool, and stayed up to do his homework for him, since he was too busy playing RS to care at all about his grades. The two projects I did for him were major final projects.

Turns out, his final grades came back and they were "not so good (30s-60s)." I know these are NOT a result of my doing as the assignments he asked me to do were history (which I did an entire coursework of history for a guy and got him an A even though it was the history of an entirely different country), English (I did college English for a friend and helped bring him from a C to an A-, as well as I passed all of my college English classes with As), and Science (I have a Bachelors of Science in Physics).

He told me originally that his grades wouldn't come in until mid-June. I said cool, and waited. The 26th came around, and his grades weren't in yet, so we waited more. He gave me a new date: the 28th and promised to scan the grades and show me how he did (he kept telling me he'd get a pie chart of the assignments per class to show how well the assignment grade that I did was).

The 28th came around, and, well I'll let you read it for your own pleasure:



Me:
It's the 28th. What gives?

Him:
Sorry I have been quite busy. I will be receiving my report card with marks on June 30th, 2011. I can scan it and provide to you, blocking my OEN number etc. And we can go on from that?

I am not as active due to my exams. I may have to attend summer school, but thats later. Currently, have a week to rest, so we can chat.

Me:
Hey dude, I won't be home much of tonight. If you want to scan me the report card thingy and let me know what you think I can look at it when I get home.

Him:
Will e-mail to you soon. Today or tomorrow. My marks were not so good [most ranging from 30s-60s]
But you take a look..

Him:
Problem is = there is only a FINAL mark. You cannot see what marks I got on projects, mini quizes, test, and the exams. For history, I got a dead on 50 [pass] and science I got a 62 [reasonable - not so good] and english I got dead on 50 [pass].

Each isu is worth 15 percent of total mark. I had dropped heavily compared to my term 1 and 2. Therefore, I could conclude I did not fail the projects, but got somewhere between 50-60 on each.

This is where I'm calling absolute bullshit, per this and per my college science, history, and English grades. The quote: My life depends on you. If not, I will fail my course: english" taken from the MSN convo.


Me:
Considering everyone else's homework I did for them got them from failing grades to strait A's while yours were "help last minute I need this because I'm too busy playing runescape to do my homework" the case is pretty heavy against you. I don't know if you want to go down that road.

Him:
How much are you looking for. Be reasonable, please.

Me:
Well, lets just do it by time and convenience. About 6 hours of work, all of it last minute and all of it interfering with my sleep. 100m?

(This is the part where you engage in haggling. I'm gonna teach you a good life skill over the next couple of days ).

Added to clarify the sleep thing: while doing his assignments I told him I wake up at 6 every morning to go to work. I ended up staying up until 12-1am to do these projects for him.

Him:
Please go on MSN. My inbox keeps getting full lol. I cba to keep deleting!

Me (July 4th):

Hey buddy, I'm getting tired of this. It's currently the 4th, that's 8 days past when you first said we'd make an agreement on payment, and there's no agreement. I'm giving you another 5 days before I take the bundle of false promises and you begging me to help you on your assignments and send them to the admins under a report post. I know you don't want that, and I don't want to do that, but this is getting ridiculous. I am not going to be on msn for the next couple of days, so make your counter offer here and we'll get a deal on the books. No more games; I'm too old for that shit.

Him:
Go on MSN please.

There may be minor inconsistencies in the layout of these, but I assure you it's only minor. I would be willing to let an admin on my sythe account to read the back and forth for themselves, if they wish.

If you'd like me to link the finished assignments I can do that as well. One of them contains his real name, which is why I'm hesitant to post them here. Just ask for them, I trust the admins with that information.

It's now July 10th. 12 days after the 28th, and about a month and a half after the first assignment I did for him. I'm too old for this shit. I have my own house car, job, and maybe even a baby on the way. I don't need to chase around teenagers to get payment I was promised, that is just ridiculous. I don't care to be a mod on this site, and don't care for childish drama. Hell, the most excitement I get is a shareholder's meeting and an audit (that's when I find out if I made 60k this year or 160k).

I find it funny that he can report 10 people a day and get 10 posts a day, but he can't find time to talk to me on msn or pay me. I guess you tend to forget your debts when you're trying too hard to be a moderator.

 

Text and chat logs are not proof. Do you have the ACTUAL MSN screenshots?

 

I'll take them for you. Give me five minutes. Is it acceptable to put them in a zipped folder and upload it to megaupload? There is going to be at least 10 chat log screenies, probably upwards of 30.

I just get tired of people not making good on their promises and then running off to potentially screw someone else over.

Thats sufficient. Banning him for now, we have been through this shit with him one too many times. Ill be your point of contact for this, before the possibility of an unban will be considered, he must compensate you for the work done and the time wasted. So be fair in your negotiations of price, but don't extort him knowing that he HAS to pay you back. You seem like a fair minded person so not worried about it. Let me know, thanks for the report.
