Why are MMOS so addicting?

Is it because they are endless?

The graphics suck compared to console/high end computer games.

Like common... minecraft sucks... runescape could do better.

No idea, when I look back its pathetic how long I've been associated with these stupid games.

 

I don't know why they are so addicting, it's something to do for me

Not all MMOs have bad graphics though

 

For me I think it's because I can play with actual people and my game never ends, it isn't like a FPS match which ends in 15 minutes, you can play for forever.

 

Mmo's aren't addicting. RPG's are. It's because you role play, you are your own person in the game, you can do whatever you wish, choose what you want to do. And the variety of things you can do are endless. This is why Rpg's are so addicting.

You have choice of what you look like and everything
Easy to socialize and I guess it's just a nice change from every day life

There is also the money gaining side of it too

 

Alotta people like knowing they can be something that they really are not IRL. Being above the next person.
