Paypal Claim and cancel question

does the claim and cancel method actually prevent them from creating another dispute?

Yes and no. It's a hard one. Because they send the cash through the "gift" option, it is unauthorized. Therefore, a claim can be made whenever. When it is paid through "gift", more then 1 dispute can be made, therefore it doesn't work.

Though, there are other options other than "gift" in which you can only do 1 dispute, that I'm aware of.

I'm not sure, but if they call their credit card company they could possibly still reverse it.

 

This is why you never deal with direct paypal to paypal... ESPECIALLY not a credit card funded one... big no no.
