I was selling 170mil and we were gonna do increments of 3rds so I gave him 56mil after some chat and right after i gave his account named "ganja dooby" he logged out of rs and msn. I took these screenies in different order.

 

Any in-game proof?

 

It's not like I took a vid of the trade or anything. And at the time, someone with 900+ posts and who offered to use a omm didn't seem like they would scam me so i didn't bother taking a screen shot of the trade. But even if I did you would probably just say it was shopped or that was me giving a friend the money instead or something. With my luck lately I probably could have vided the whole thing and still get nothing.

I just figured that the timing was a little too perfect to log out right after I gave him the gp. I told him my paypal and he said he was writing it down. And I figured he would at least send the money he owes me or at the very very least respond to my messages or my pm's to say that it's all a misunderstanding. I sent him a nicer pm today and hope he responds soon. I'll post what happens when I get a reply or get this all worked out. But until then, I'm still gonna consider them to be a scammer.

He told me that he hasn't received the GP and that he decided not to trade you. If you don't have any proof that you gave him the RSGP, I'm afraid I can't do anything. But, I may request a TWC.

 

Are you freggin kidding me? So first he just said "oh, my internet cut out" and now its "oh I didn't get any gp" now that he knows you don't believe me or that I have proof of trade. How am I supposed to prove I gave him my gp? Even if I took a screenie of the trade, he could say I took the screenie and then declined... Look, I'm trying to stay cool about this but really this is unfair. You ask that I prove I did something when there was never a way to prove it. This guy just STOLE $30+ from me and I want him to admit it or at least pay me what he owes me. Do you have ANY advice on what I can do?

Unfortunately, I can't do anything. I will be requesting a TWC. If this guy scams someone else, and they post proof, I'll ban him. And, take pictures of the two trade windows, and the window where it says "accepted trade." That's enough to ban him. And, PM a market or global moderator to handle your threads. Sorry.
