    Referral Section

This idea stumbled upon me after I did a favor and redirected another member to the correct section, because he posted in the wrong section. He said "thank you" after I helped him, and it made me wonder...

Why not open up a referral section?

Now, you're probably asking "Well, what good is a referral section going to do?".

    The Answer:

The referral section is going to act like vouches in a way, only you can make a referral of someone making a good post.

The new section will hopefully open up new opportunities for people to help get their name out in a positive way. And if current staff members were to vote on a new staff member, they could check the members' vouches and referrals -- and then make a validation from there.

This whole idea is just another idea to help gain positive reputation, without committing a trading transaction or adding new modules to the website itself.

    Thank you for reading!

Referrals should never be deemed as a token of trust. No support.

I agree. But, referrals aren't the only way you can deem someone as trustworthy. The whole point to this is to not develop a new way of giving out free trust tokens, but to give out a token of morals.

Example: Member A helps Member B with homework. Member B is grateful to Member A. Member B then adds a referral to Member A's thread. Member A becomes more popular.

    Sorry if you misunderstood.

Oh, you mean a "thanks" system. Sorry, but that won't be implemented, and it's on the DNS list.
