    How does Jagex find bots?

I'm not talking obvious flax macros here.

How do they detect autoers on their system? Do they actually have software that detects JS? Or is it done soley through player reports?

    How does Jagex find bots?

Most of it is through player reports. The rest is basically by flagging accounts which have failed randoms.

    Player Reports.
    Failing Randoms.

There are no other ways that that they can catch you, other than random chance.

They do have a system in place that can detect unusual activity without player reports or failing randoms, such as clicking in the exact same spots over and over. I've gotten a temp ban for an auto clicker awhile back that I used to keep me logged into fight caves so I wouldn't lose my progress while I was AFK. What they have in place really isn't anything to worry about.

but bots nowadays are good and don't ever click in the same spots, the way they work is pretty much undetectable so really the only way is player reports and randoms, unless the bot messes up and starts clicking over and over in the same spots for an extremely long time, even then it doesn't always result in getting caught.

So let's say I'm in a no random zone, and I'm going nonstop for like 3 days.
    I'm just a little paranoid.
    What do you guys think?

Unless they have some software, there is no logical reason I can get banned that I can think of.

"you played too long" no, Jagex gtfo.
"you didn't respond to a player" Jagex, get out of here.

Most of the time they don't take notice. However, if that player you didn't talk to reports you, you'll be flagged. Then, Jagex looks at what you've done for the past week or two. If they find it suspicious, they'll ban you.

They can't really catch you unless you get reported or fail randoms as stated above ^^

Unless you get reported in those three days or use a really, really, really shitty script you will not get banned.

Very easy to caught out that you are bot by player reported.

    Thanks everyone.
As stated above, it seems that the only way to get reported are though a shitty bot, and player reports; which I don't have and I don't think I'll get.

    Thankz all

    How does Jagex find bots?

Jagex does have automated systems in place (I've seen people get banned within 5 minutes without being reported). However most of it is done via player reports. Your account can be flagged from a few things:

Excessive play-time, failing a random, clicking same exact pixels, and many more things. The fact of the matter is that if you do get investigated, Jagex does have software in place that does allow them to calculate the mouse movement algorithms that detectable bots use, and they can and do use it as evidence to ban accounts. The only reason why people can go for so long without being banned is that in order to run the automated system 24/7 on every person it would be too strenuous on their systems to do, therefore they usually wait until you get flagged to do an investigation.

Keep in mind that everything in this thread is purely speculation, meaning its our best and most logical guess though it may not actually be true since none of it can be confirmed

Darkstassassin Success is not permanent, the same is also true of failure.

Most bans are from reports/failed randoms, like a few other people said.

I don't think jagex has a "Detection System" like they say they do.

    How does Jagex find bots?

I've been botting for many years, never been caught. All you need to do is make sure you have a high anti-ban on the scripts you run or customize your own antiban if your familar with coding ( or write own scripts ) Most bans come from player reports, as long as you babysit your bot you will be fine.. But trust me, i sell gold & accounts and leave 5+ bots 24/7.. Especially if your worried and you just want gold, make a level 3 bot your $$ on him.. It's not so much f2p you have to worry about its more members.
