This is something not to make a mockery of. Yes he died in an odd way but it was a honest human error that he can't even correct on his own will. Rest in peace, very unfortunate and tragic his death was.

I can't imagine watching my father dying like that, it must be extremely difficult with what he's going through right now.

wow, thats extremely sad. Even worse that the world and his son saw his last moments. I think it is a good way to die though.. Doing something he enjoys. Anyway R.I.P.

Quite tragic indeed, it's hard to watch the video since his son looks so innocent :\

Saw this on the news. Really sad. I can't imagine how'd I feel if I was that fan who tried to catch him or the baseball player who threw him the ball.

Sorry thought I added the video. My question is what actually killed him. I figure a fall 20 ft to the ground and you could easily walk away with a broken rib, arm or leg.

Also its so sad, they say that's the second one this season.

They honestly should put extra protection around those fences. I've been to at least 3 baseball games (Major League) and honestly it is kind of scary. Especially since the MLB knows that fans will attempt to catch the balls.

Wow that is really sad. It reminds me when me and my family went ice skating 5 years ago. I'm ice skating and turn around and not too far away is a guy on the floor covered in blood so I'm like "Well, that must suck for that guy, I hope he's okay." Then when I got closer I found out it was my dad on laying on the ice. He had to get stitches on his forehead and broke his cheek bone. Also had some kind of brain injury.

Anyways, I feel really bad for his wife and kids. I can imagine how horrified they were when they saw that video.

He landed head first on concrete, that's a pretty long distance when you're breaking the fall with your face.

Also, he didn't die instantly from the fall. He was still conscious when they took him to the hospital, and it wasn't until an hour or two later did he die.

That was a massive tragedy. Hopefully, that incident doesn't damage the spirit of coming to a baseball game. My condolences and prayers go out to the family.
