    Obviously, Mods have to have a partially higher intelligence, but its more that you have to be "e-wary" and know about all the scams etc. that go on the internet.
    Also, you need to be above criticism and insults, and take them into consideration. Of course, Sythe wouldn't promote people that cry and insta-hammer those that give them some stick.

    Psychology degree though? Nahhh.

    Yes, every mod on staff has a psychology degree. As proof of said degree, all potential staff members must operently condition a chicken to peck out a reply accepting the position.

    It's all rather elaborate, really.

    Of course, staff members also have to spend so much time on the forums dealing with bullshit disputes that they become naturally snarky when scammers/evaders attempt unoriginal defenses. This, too, might explain the staff's "don't believe you," "seen-it-before" attitudes.
