Anyone here old school RS player? 2000 - 2002?

I am just wondering when these holiday items were dropped, was it like you logged in at lummy one day and there was santas everywhere on the floor? or what? how was it

 

Wearing a holiday drop back then was basically like wearing a recent holiday item nowadays. It made you look like a noob. I traded a green and red mask for a Rune Full Helm (back then called a Rune Large Helm) and I felt good about it.

They were dropped randomly on the ground for a single day, and new items appeared on the ground about every 5 minutes. You could pick up as many as you wanted.

 

They literally just appeared on the ground. For example, with santa hats, 3 of them just appeared in a small triangle just north of varrock west bank.

 

You must feel horrible now though. Especially if it was with party hats.

 

Lol I remember trading a blue mask for an R2h and 9k. It was significantly in my favor at the time.

I also remember pking in santa hats in RSC ; )

 

Yes, I'm still playing runescape classic private servers...for the pking

Holiday items were dropped all over Runescape at various times in the day, you had to go and find them and pick them up.
