UPS Tracking Code?

I bought something on Sythe recently and the seller has not sent me the tracking code yet.

He claims that international shipping takes much longer to obtain the tracking code, and the tracking code will only be made available to him once UPS has shipped the item.

Is it true or is he delaying the sale on purpose to scam me?

 

Does he have the tracking code?
If he does and doesn't give it to you call someone like ups and ask for him name or something to check..If not call the police if it is IRL cash.

I don't know how it works in other countries, but I would imagine it would be no different. The way it worked when I would ship packages is I would get a tracking number ASAP but the thing is that it may not show any information online - even for like two days once.

Thing is he claims that the stuff is at the HQ of UPS and they will only give the tracking number once they send it.

 

Why would it be at the HQ? That sounds silly... but I don't know how it works internationally.

Find out where he is from, go to the UPS site and read how it works there I guess... I don't really know =p. I'd be cautious, but I don't know.

 

Normally you would get the tracking code as soon as you paid for the shipment of the package. You get the tracking code straight away and once you check it, if it is at HQ waiting to be shipped, normally it will come up with that.

 

Alright it could be that he is scamming me then. I'll check with him if he comes online tonight. If he doesn't, well then I'll do something about it.

 

Personally, I'd just cancel my payment and cancel the trade right now, then either reject the package if it does end up coming or pay him when it arrives. Just do something, I feel certain that something fishy is happening! =p.
