    Itouch or Cash?

My 15th birthday is coming up and I'm trying to decide what to ask my parents for. Should I ask them for money, which will probably be $100 to buy Battlefield 3 and Skyrim when they come out? Or should I ask them for an I-pod Touch? I don't have an i-pod so I can't listen to music unless it's at home. I'm thinking of asking them for money but I'm not sure, because they keep asking what I want.

    iPod.

Having an iPod touch is almost a necessity as a teenager, depending on your socio-economic status.

Also, having an iPod touch enables you to do numerous other things, such as listen to music, store videos, pictures (the new one can take photos).

However, I would add that it depends on how much money you get.

They are always coming out with a better version of an Ipod Touch.

You have a computer, you don't need the internet.
You can buy another MP3 Player.

To me -- It's a peice of junk. I turned around and sold the one I bought a week later.

Considering iPod Touchs are worth well over $100, if you're just looking at this value-wise, the iPod would be the best route. If you really don't care about music and apps, etc., then go with the cash.

iPod, you can get games, music, videos, go on the internet. You can do almost anything with it except eat it :p

If you need the cash then get the cash but if you're going to waste the cash then I'd definitely recommend getting it as you'd never look back:D

Personally the Itouch isn't some mp3 player. Sure it can play mp3 audio files, but you can also type notes on it, view your email offline. Get online and send emails, google questions you may have and use the calculator feature on it. Plus you can read books on it, which makes it like a kindle. Jailbreaking it can turn it into a touch screen gameboy.

I've found it's extremely helpful job, school and social wise. Besides, I've a bad habit of wasting my money on food if i've cash. And like the user above said you can't eat it. :)

    TLDL: Get the itouch

Great idea, I've never though of that until now. I can ask for an I-touch for my birthday, then on Christmas get video games. Genius.
