    ============================

    Detailed description of the events that took place and why you think we should forgive you:

    In August 2024, a worker of a host at KoS used a maxed RS3 account that unknowingly had 90 Magic, instead of 99. The account had been bulk purchased from a trusted seller, who usually sells bulk poly accounts, and was intended for use as a backup. Due to frequent in-game bans, hosts often need to rotate accounts, meaning bulk accounts get purchased - and unfortunately, this one slipped through the cracks. It was used for calling over a span of two months and only briefly for hosting.

    The stats were visible on-stream AT ALL TIMES - nothing was hidden as it was not done maliciously. So during the entire time the account was being used - may it have been for calling or hosting - the stats were COMPLETELY visible to everyone on stream for transparency, but the 90 Magic was just not seen by anyone. This is probably due to less people actually watch streams now-a-days, and more for security purposes incase something happens, and also - nothing like this ever happens at KOS, it's the first time in 12 years a mistake like this has happened by a worker. The account was identified NOT by a bettor, but through our own internal checks by our own managers/staff. Once it was discovered, we discussed it internally and believed, at the time, that a full refund wasn't necessary. Our reasoning was:

    • The Magic stat offered bettors a slight advantage while calling.

    • The hosting use was minimal and accidental. Upon investigation, we found more stakes had actually won for bettors when host was using this account than lost in that period of time, meaning bettors got lucky as it is whilst the account in question was being used.
    • There was no malicious intent or deception.

    • The odds shift was marginal (~55/45). It was considered the same as 1.1x stake, which bettors bet on regularly at KOS, so nothing out of the ordinary.
    • We gave significantly more back to the community in additional giveaways at the time due to this, and bonuses, than what could have possibly been impacted.
    However, we now realise that even if the actual impact was low, the perception of fairness and trust is equally important. Our decision not to refund was based on what we believed was fair at the time, infact, the same ex-staff who reported it are the ones who helped come to the decision, but we recognise it should have been handled more transparently and responsibly.

    Since then, we’ve refunded all known affected users and sent funds for the remainder to the Sythe Community Repayment fund. This was done within hours of the decision made on Sythe. We've also introduced better internal processes to ensure this kind of oversight never happens again.

    I want to sincerely apologise for how we handled the situation. Even though there was no intent to cause harm, we understand the importance of upholding trust — and in hindsight, we should have acted differently. We’ve taken accountability, made things right financially, and are committed to continuing to operate with integrity.

    KoS has been around for 12 years with a clean track record on Sythe and within the community. We hope this isolated mistake doesn't define our entire history. We respectfully ask for the DNT to be lifted, and thank you for taking the time to review this.
