Price Check Sub-Forum

Although I do not personally find any use for this because I know the general prices I think this would help a LOT of newcomers and others with prices. I understand there is a price check topic thread in each forum section in the market but in all honesty, no one is going to go through that and price check all of them. I've seen those price check threads and rarely does anyone ever give an estimation (some have actually been way off).

Just think it would be a good idea to have this and I know it would definitely be active if you consider all the posts in the price check topic threads currently found in the forums.

Edit: The only problem I could see is would people go to these forums and post there or would we have a bunch of 0 reply threads. I really think that it is possible for people to do this, but I think that would be the major question pertaining to this suggestion.

Edit #2: Should also disable the post count in it. I like posting and not having my posts per day going up (don't ask me why).

Edit #3: AND it'll stop newcomers (usually) from overpricing their accounts if they have a good price check done and it'll lessen the spam of people saying "Wow, you aren't going to get that much for that account"

 

Although I was at first hesitant, this could work. It avoids the issue of there being multiple threads in multiple forums. Also, more price check requests would be answered. Tacit support.

 

I Agree, It can also stop threads about price checks that are constantly being posted in the wrong section.

The only reason it was denied was because it was ignored. N4N0 moved it to denied to clean the section.

 

Need to get some people to step up and acknowledge this suggestion! It would help a lot of people out.

 

Theres no point. Prices change every 5 minutes on this website. Buyers and sellers alike set their own standards for what's a good deal and what's not. If this is for accounts, you still recieve no support because there's already a thread specifically designed for price checks of account.

 

This would replace the thread, as a single thread is inefficient for this purpose.

 

Again, this has my support. So long as post count does not increase in the said section.

 

1) Prices do not change every 5 minutes; they only change when gold to cash ratio fluctuates.
2) With the threads we have now, newcomers go there and see old posts and think that's the price when it might not be due to the fact that we don't have people scouring through the posts to find out if anyone gave the wrong price check.
3) With a whole price check sub-forum, we'd be able to see posts more easily.
4) And to the above poster, yeah I agree with taking off post count for it.
5) Buyers and sellers don't have their own standards for prices. Everyone knows basic accounts and how much they would cost. People know how much 1-80 dungeoneering costs, what 60 str pures cost, etc.
6) I advise you to go into the price check thread now and post a picture. See how you'll either never get a response or it will most likely be inaccurate.

The current system does NOT work; we have to change it.

 

I support this because I think it'd be really helpful, people don't use the sticky so maybe they would pay more attention tp a sub forum.

 

How would this get approved?

 

An admin just needs to open AdminCP and make the forum.
