funny but i still screwd up

okay so my friend from work wanted to go to this 4rth of july concert so he faked behing sick for a whole week so he can go see it.

and me and my friend decided to make a r.i.p facebook on him and used a picture of him sleeping and photshoped him inside a casket. and since no one has heard of him in some time the knews ran to the workplace and their getting hectic that he dosnt answer calls but hes just scared that the manager knows hes ditching.

so some people actually think his dead and me and my friend feel were to deep in this whole thing and dont want to say anything. people went outside his house to pray at night with candles but no one in his household knew what was going on especially when his moms a dead beat drunk.

people are already crying, and dont know wtf is going on his fb is full of wel miss u's and and yaddi yadda.

can i get caught? wtf could happen to me iam kind of nervous so i might not be explaining in full detail of the situation.

 

You could get caught. I do not know how much trouble you would get in. Just close the Facebook page and when he returns to work stay silent.

Or you could man up and tell them it was a joke. They might not find it funny, you may get in trouble, but your managers and co-workers would know you are honest in the most serious moments.

 

I'm pretty sure you can get into a fair bit of trouble. Very immature act on your behalf.

Wow I bet you never thought It would go that far. If you get caught I don't see how you would get into much trouble you could just say it was a joke between your mates and other people saw it. Probaly better to tell everyone now rather then later to avoid more trouble. Or like the guy above said just delete it and don't say a word.. in the end its what you feel more comfortabled doing.

 

well the police havnt been involved but idk what has been going on at work if theyved called his parents to confirm anything but i doubt it the lady is hammerd evrytime i see her. and i closed it down yesterday. at the moment im just going to see how it plays out.

Tbh your boss might be pissed off at you but it is no reason for you to be fired from your job. Other people might also be pissed off with you because of the way they felt hearing he had died only to find out it is a joke.

There is no reason the police should be involved as no crime has been committed.

You need to clear it up right now. The more you wait the more it will avalanche on you. Delete the facebook thread and keep quiet. If you can think of a way to discreetly get the word across that it was a joke and that he's not really dead, if you don't want to admit to the joke yourself..

Your not really in trouble with the law, as it's a prank. Though, faking peoples death isn't really something funny in many adults eyes. If the cops do get involved, simply tell them it was an innocent prank that escalated.

I think it'd be funny from a friends perspective though.

Ok, start off by changing the name of the fb page to, ______ is not dead.
2. Put as a status on the page that it was a joke.
3. Let people see this for a bit so they know whats going on.
4. You have to get it off your chest by saying on your fb, "sorry but _____ is not dead and it was a joke. Sure people are gonna be really pissed but say it was a joke between a couple of you and it was not to go around like that.
5. apologize to your friend
6. Remember not to do something like that again.

People will probably more mad at you then him since you started this whole thing and updated FB etc.

Your friend is going to get drilled once he goes back to work, probably will be fired.

Police could even get involved, possibility of getting a ticket as well.

 

Ok the best thing to do is delete all the info on the group or w.e. and post this, "He's not dead" Close Facebook and go back to normal and act like it never happened.
