Moderator--> College Apps

I once applied for a job and wrote in my CV that I was a level 70; 10th prestige on Call of Dury MW2.

I was applying for GAME and thought they may see the funny side in it. xD

 

LOLed. One of the main things they look for. It's very impressive (hugely if you think about it) but I'd probably avoid it because of the grey legal areas this website deals with. Could be used at a stretch school's interview tho since it's such a hit or miss. But if your overall application were good enough I wouldn't bother taking the risk.

But to all you saying they wouldn't look at it/don't care: you're completely wrong, especially for the top schools. The schools have so many qualified candidates that they look for people who stand out through extra-curricular activities as well as in-school activities. A leadership position on a website of 260,000 members is extremely impressive. The only issue is the content of this site

 

Moderators take orders, that's not a display of leadership.

 

If you were becoming a custodian... from my modding experience I grew to realize that I was just a glorified janitor, basically, with a sudden burst of trust granted just because of a rank. I don't think I'd mention it to anyone IRL.
