It depends if it's tradable or not.

Untradable items like cls will drop for cash.

Tradable items like barrows will drop as the same item with 0 charge/repair.

If you know the sword/hammer has only a few seconds of charge remaining, dying with it can be used to get a halfway decent return on the weapon's original value.

Since VLS/SWH has no store value I'm going to guess it drops for alch value = ~150k each.

SWH drops for 1M... or it dropped for 1M for me.

I thought that VLS or SWH dropped for a percentage of a total value equal to the percentage of time they had left or something like that... at least thats what I heard.

 

i know its not alch value but im unsure of the drop value, ive kiled somone with vls and barrows gloves and they dropped much more then just 210k
