Wow. That is so fucked. I laughed a little because of some parts like the fact that 20 officers showed up. Hahahaha what is the point of a cop being like that?

Fucking pigs, cops like this need to literally be set on fire and let them die. This is why I hate the U.S. I've never seen any other story about police brutality from another 1st World Country. I hope the cops are fired and get gangbanged in prison.

They pepper sprayed and tasered my mate for being in the wrong spot at the wrong time, then charged him with affray so he couldn't even come to the US when we planned our overseas trip. I couldn't believe it. They got like 10 statements from police officers.

Slack on the poor 17 year old man, imagine the facepalm while the officers boss is there kicking the officers ass. His facepalm should break his nose lol.

Alot of people seem to hate the Cops, maybe if we were in their shoes we'd be able to understand better why they do the things they do. Ofcourse not all of them are rightly intent on doing their job properly, but you'd think the majority of them only want to protect/give justice to their communities.

 

Fuck the police. Shit like this really pisses me off.

They are supposed to "serve and protect" but you see stories like this all the time. The WORST part is that there are virtually no consequences. Sure there are bad people in every profession (teachers who sell crack to students, priests who rape) but those people face severe repercussions for their actions. This officer should go to jail for a longgg time.

It also doesn't even sound like he had a real reason to stop the kid in the first place:
"Jesse Kersey... was riding his bike... when Officer Willie "I'M A FUCKING PIG" Hooper stopped him..."

Stories like this disgust me.

In reply to Don's post above me. I agree that most are probably decent human beings who want to do what's right. It's the lack of consequences for officers who do stuff like this or trample on the rights of citizens that is what must be addressed.

 

Some cops are ****ed. Leave it at that.

Police brutality is everywhere, but I think the teenager has a nice lawsuit against the police department now.

Also, you shouldn't hate the US for this kind of thing, happens all over the World (1st world country or not). It's not a regional thing either, it's the individual motherfucking cop who's responsible for this kind of shit

Edit: Also, it's worth noting not all cops are like that, there's some sick motherfuckers that are just that bored with their job/lives, getting zero action, that they feel the need to entertain their pathetic selves by doing shit like that.

 

Armed thugs, that's all the police officers are; most of them are cowards at that.

That's because in most other countries police brutality doesn't exist. If they want to beat you for no reason, there's not much you can do. Interrogations in some other countries have no restrictions. If they think punching you a few times will help them get the answer, then they will do just that. Be glad for the freedoms and protections you do have.

I love how you make a generalization covering every single police officer in America after you read one story about a few stupid ones. Are their dumb police officers out there? Yes, but there are dumb people in any and every profession you might encounter. Calling them cowards? Really, I don't see you out there putting your life on the line for people you don't even know. Show some respect for the good people who actually do care about others and take their job seriously.

 

I completely agree with this.

You guys don't understand what cops have to go through from day to day. Sure, these cops that beat the mentally challenged kid should be fired and arrested for assault, but that doesn't mean that all cops are bad. You only ever hear of bad stories with cops, you never hear of the good stories where they lose their lives to save others, or almost lose their lives protecting citizens.

Police officers help people, and like every profession, there are a few bad apples in the bunch. But that doesn't mean that they all are.

 

Everyone needs to stop hating on the police. The irresponsible actions of these few or any past mistake made by a police officer should not reflect on your perception of the entire force.

 

Come to Australia, they're cowards. They carry they're pepper spray, batons, they call in their back-up, they carry their riot shields, and their still scared of people. They tazer people for no reason.
It's also not my job to put my life on the line for people, it's my job to get a good education so I won't be needing anybody to put their life on my line.

Many police officers are exceptionally noble, I agree. However, nowaday, such police officers rarely exist, many of them are incredibly short sighted, among other things.

Not every profession has apples that fire tazers at you just for doing something minuscule.
