Explanation of the trade: They strung me along, waited for the BTC transfer to confirm, and then blocked me. I did not do my due diligence because I am new to this forum. They dm'ed me first I believe, but they said they would dm me from Edgar and showed they owned the Scythe account. So I think their vouches are fake possibly.

How they scammed: Using either impersonation or fake vouches to coerce me into a trade

On further consideration, it seems like they may have been impersonating Edgar Bermudez. Can someone with forum experience check this for me

 

Hello good evening, I just saw this message, but I have no relationship with the person they are talking about, I have not made any trades, and I only use my own discord to talk, I don't know if it is possible to create images like this from another profile.

 

Update: He blocked me on Scythe. He also responded in a dm using the similar grammatical mistakes he made over Discord. Seems pretty clear he did scam me. (Updated Imgur with another screenshot)
