    How to trust someone?

When you all are scrolling through the forums, buying accounts, rsgp, or whatever it is you buy related to runescape, how do you personally deem whether somebody is trusted or not?

What'd you look at first? Join date, Amounted Donated, Post count? etc.

but seriously, I look at vouches and make sure all the vouches are legit. Post count doesn't mean anything.

I look at how they organized the page, how their signature looks, quality of vouches, and what their name looks like.

    If it's like
hi im seling thiz acc 401m - stats etc

with no signature, no avatar, and a name like boboytmim11
I'd demand them first or OMM

if it's well organized, they have quality 100m+ someone else going first vouches, with a nice name like Boss and a sexy avatar, signature, and thread layout, I really don't care about going first =p

I believe it depends on the number of vouches and activity on Sythe.

    1) look at vouches, the more vouches the more tursted they are
    2) check if their a donater, the more they donated the more trustable they are
    3) check their post count, getting post counts can take a long time and the more they have the less likely they will scam you because they will lose their account with all the post counts
    4) Join date, same with the post counts the longer they have been on sythe the less likely they will scam someone. im pretty sure someone would risk getting their 2006 account banned

    How to trust someone?

    1) Low info, people in a rush to sell, RSGP only sales, not original owner = no thanks.
    2) Always do a background check on their email address/aliases to see what they've been up to.
    3) Don't go first, ever, and use a MM you trust that has done larger trades than the one you want to do.
    4) Trust no-one, no matter how legit they seem. (Yep, contradiction)

    Have fun.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I go on. Also, know this sounds strange, but grammar/spelling, if someone types 'sling 100mils urm pm mez! :)' i'm more inclined to trade with another person who has typed ' selling 100m, drop me a pm'

Even very trusted people might end up scamming when the right opportunity is there (not saying everyone would do so but yeah). So when it's small trades I look at their vouches, if they're trusted I'll go first. If it's a big trade I wouldn't care about the vouches and I'd use a middleman (except if they're an omm or something)

Another question related to this would be , were you sellin to an OMM directly, what would be the biggest amount you would trade going first?

By the work of social engineering skills to see what the person is after mostly. Just being able to tell who is legit and who is not by the way they talk with you on msn.

    How to trust someone?

I look at how many people have successfully bought from the guy. Most gold sellers I'll trust if they have threads with many pages. As for pin/account sellers, I purely look at the amount of vouches.

There is no such thing as "trust" on the internet.

    How to trust someone?

Account age - If someone has made it 4 years while trading without scamming they can probably make it another day

Post Quality - Someone could have 1k posts but half of them are "thanks for this" or "wow looks cool". Someone else could have 400 posts but in 375 of them offered correct advice or a long detailed explanation.

Past trades / status --- Lots of vouches that can be confirmed, omm mod etc
