Made me giggle a little ;D

I haven't actually PLAYED in years, I've really only botted. But yeah, I completely agree with you. Although, I actually regret the many hours I've wasted on games. I missed out on a lot of things because I didn't think they were as important as the game I was playing. Sucks...

My life while botting/playing rs a little bit (staking only) is the same as yours after quitting it.

I quit in March and it was also one of the best choices I have made. I'm out with my girlfriend and friends almost everyday. So far this summer has really been great for me.
All though I quit playing I still have bots that gold farm for some extra cash IRL.

I've practically quit the ingame aspect of runescape, and pretty much only log on to manage bots/sell RSGP

Many countries call a ton (meaning 2000 pounds) a tonne (meaning 1000 kg, or 2200 pounds). Saying "tonnes of" is perfectly grammatically correct in many countries.

Anyway, I'm glad you broke free, Pkkid. :) If Runescape didn't mean thousands of dollars, I'd probably follow in your footsteps.

Thanks for the responses, and honestly, runescape did make me quite a bit of real life cash, but I'm honestly pretty well off without it, I don't exactly have a job, but I have something that gives me a consistent amount of money, that varies from week to week, so I'm happy without it.
But honestly, for the people that make at least $2500+ off runescape per month, it's a job, not an addiction, and I'm happy you make that much and keep a healthy balance with life and it, if you can do that, but also enjoy life, then you're set :)

Again, thanks for the responses ^.^

oh, and to one of the earlier posts, I'm quitting cigarettes on Monday, going to be hard but I'm determined, and weed, i'll never quit, it actually helps me study, without it I can't concentrate as well, as a personal test I tried not blazing for one week and studying, my average was 84% - 88% , when I started blazing again, I went to 92% - 96%, it's helps me concentrate and if I can remember something when I'm retardedly high, I can defiantly remember it sober ^.^ And I have sleeping issues that pills don't work for sometimes, so weed is honestly something I actually need in my life, not something I just want.

It doesn't really effect me as I'm making money from it and also Botting it all day. I'm not actually one of those try hard 24/7 runescape players.

RuneScape has done nothing to me, other than waste lots and lots of time.

You are mentally addicted to weed. You should eventually stop.
Quitting cigarettes and sleeping pills are much more important. As is quitting drug dealing (if that's your source of income).

Well, my doctor is getting me on to medical weed, as most sleeping pills don't really have an effect on me. I have terrible insomnia, and I haven't slept for 5 days straight sometimes, my eating habit's are also quite odd, I vary from 200 - 10,000+ calories per day, keeping a consistent weight of 145 - 160, with constant activity. And I don't exactly, deal, I don't personally touch anything myself, so I literally have almost no chance of getting in any trouble. Cigarettes have been harder to quit then drugs for me, but that's my next goal ^.^

You should see a (good) psychiatrist about the insomnia, it's usually a mental/subconscious issue and the sessions will be worth the money (priceless imho).

Cigarettes will be harder to quit than weed because they are so physically addicting. But anything is possible; my dad stopped cold turkey one day after 20+ years and hasn't even thought of looking back since (been over 15 years).

Avoid harder drugs and I personally would avoid any illegal activities. Of course I'm speaking for a naive position, but if one of your coworkers go down you easily also could.

Quitting RS was actually really easy for me. I joined RS after watching my brother play, it actually seemed real fun. After joining, I had so much fun while I was a low level, I was always trying to get better than my brothers. We would have a brotherly competition between ourselves which would encourage me to keep training and training but then one day, my love for RS just disappeared. After I've reach to the point where it would take countless hours and hours of time just to get up one level, I was like "Fuck that, this is Bullshit and so boring." Then my brothers followed my trail and slowly got hooked off RS and that was the end. After my end, I looked around the web to sell my accounts and that's when I discovered Sythe.org and now all I do with RS is make money. My grades never went up after I quit as there was always something else to distract me. The things RS has done for me, is improve my spelling/grammar, determination, made money, and others which I can't think of right now.

One thing I regret not doing before I quit is look for Sythe.org as it would have saved me irl cash for my membership.

I've tried seeing one, he thinks it's physical and how my body has changed due to drug use, he said I should have been dead on over 15 different occasions, because I've taken 25 mdma pills a day for about 2 - 3 weeks at a time with maybe 2 - 3 days of sleep in that time =/ .
Or charlie sheen style cocaine use.
I've pretty much quit those, I just drink at parties & events now, I don't even take mdma at raves anymore, and raving is my life =/ .

That's what I'm going to try Monday, no cigarettes at all, same with both my parents, we're doing a family quit =/ Only way we can because we don't want to see any ciggs in the house or anywhere.

And I can't exactly avoid it, I've been around that since I was 5 - 6, not exactly working, but I'm close to a lot of people that are in that lifestyle, like 30+ year olds, they've known me since I was really young, and have respect for me as a person as they've seen me grow and overcome my bad habits, they're like a second family. I don't exactly need to deal, it's just something I enjoy doing, it's like selling rsgp, you can get it at .5c/m and resell it at a better price, and it's like having a company, you can get workers who are loyal to do it, and you simply just make one simple transaction and take in a large work-less profit =/ + I'm in Vancouver, and this is one of the easiest cities to do that in

Quitting anything is easy. You just have to have the mind set. I come from a really strong willed family, my dad and my grandpa both quit smoking cold turkey. I'm a runner so smoking has never caught my interest, but I have quit other games before right on the spot. I play runescape for fun, I bot to have fun.

I've never been addicted enough to need to completely "quit" runescape. I barely even play, I only have time to press "run bot".

Sounds good, but like others have said, quit the smoking and drugs and you will be good.

Just because you think you need weed to concentrate and relax doesn't mean it's good for you. I know some friends who literally downed 12 packs of pop a day for months/years straight, and now they get jitters and can't focus if they don't drink pop. That doesn't mean that chugging pop constantly is a good thing, it just means you've developed an addiction. Like anything, you're going to have withdrawal symptoms if you just suddenly stop, it doesn't mean you should just start doing it again.

As for insomnia, I have quite bad insomnia as well, but I've vowed to never take pills, even if it means not getting much sleep. Sleeping pills are ALWAYS short term, you should never use them for extended periods of time, because then they start to impact you negatively.

Like someone else already said, a psychiatrist could help. Most people just can't learn to "turn off" their minds. I'm definitely one of those people. I think about things constantly, even when I'm lying in bed trying to go to sleep.

Anyways, best of luck in your life man, it'll still take some work to accomplish what you want/should want, but if you have the mentality and will power, you can do it.
