boxing help

I want to make a boxer for the deuling arena but I have little experiance with making pures. I just want to know what skills I should have. I already know that I should have 99 strength. Any other sugestions? Also post any tips that would help me in a boxing match. And one more thing. Please no flaming

 

Boxing basically requires you to have controlled Melee stats (Att, Str, Def, HP). So either have 80 in each, or 99, doesn't matter. Just make sure they're roughly the same. Summoning and Prayer are completely useless, and shouldn't be trained at all. 99 Magic would be alright, if you're mage boxing as well. Ranged isn't really necessary.

 

What about 99 strength def and hitpoints? Would that work

no, you might as well max out because you'll be facing people with roughly 80 in all and they'll certainly win.

 

You should go for 90 att 99 def 80 str 1 pray 1 summ.

Attack means you hit. Every time you hit a "blue shield" it's basically meaning you miss. Basically, every time you hit, first the game randomly decides whether or not you hit (based on your attack level), and then it randomly decides how much damage you do (based on strength). High strength is useless unless you have the ability to land some hits. In a boxing match, attack is extremely important because otherwise you won't do any damage at all.

I've seen a lot of boxers at 1.33:1:1.33 ratio of Attack:Strength:defense. Basically, something like 90/70/90.

Don't max out. Who stakes maxed out stakers. You want Even or high attack and defense and less strength with fairly high constiution. The reason for this is so you have a good time facing YOUR cb level.
