Display name.

Hello, i am just conerned on the changing of your RSN to a "rare" or a name you recently bought to change to that RSN. I have a rough idea, When you go to "change display name" It will obviously say "Name is already taken since you still have the name on a seperate account, Okay. So would this method work?

1.) change the rare name to something else?
2.) Wait 7 days since the old name (rare name you want on your account) since it is being "Held"
3.) After 7 days, you can change your RSN to the old name on the seperate account allowing you to have the rare as your current RSN.

If this is wrong, please tell me

No it takes a month to remove it that way, the fastest way is to change the rare named account to something vulgar and post on the Jagex moderated forums and get it reset, then you can change the name on the account you want the name.

I wouldn't do it now though, theres a lot of sniping lately.

I believe Tckr is correct, if you have an offensive* name Jagex will force you to change it.

You will have to wait a whole month in order to change a name so that's not worth it.

Actualy, names are held for 28 days, not 7.

And the rare name has to be a member so that you can post on fourms in order for it to be reset.
