make my computer faster!!

So I basically have a slowwww computer and when it comes to staking I cant even come close to getting the first hit because I have wireless internet at my house... Is there anyway I can make my laptop or computer faster plz help . If I have to plug like a ethernet cord directly to the router where do I even plug it in at???

 

Defrag your computer for some HDD cleaning.
Internet Connection - Plug in to the router. Use wired instead of wireless.

at the back on the router are usually ethernet ports, to plug
your cable in, if not
search where your modem, is.
your modem always has multiple ethernet ports.
