Waited for it! Hope that many NBA players decides to come playing pro basketball in Europe. Can't wait for the next Euroleague, Eurocup, Eurochallenge season! Hope my hometeam gets high calibre player

 

Or maybe the NBA players should decide to accept 5 million dollars as enough payment. *rolls eyes*.

On Topic though, I have heard this could be for the whole year. The owners and the players are a long way from each other.

 

By the new NBA rules players cannot contact with NBA teams using *******, Facebook, etc.
Teams will be punished 1m $ if they sign contract during lockout.
It's hard for europe club to get high calibre player because of their NBA contract details.
Sonny Weems from Toronto Raptors is in Spain with his buddy Derozan and he decided to sign a contract with European club.

I got mixed feelings about this lockout. On one hand, the owners failed at making good business choices in terms of how they built their teams. There are tons of overpaid players and its not the players' fault.
On the other hand, the new breed of players today have more of a superstar mentality than a team one. Case in point would be the Knicks and Heat. Melo and James were two of the biggest sought out Free Agents and were able to pick where they go. They had team owners fighting for their attention, and I feel it shouldn't be that way. Teams should have the final say in where players go, not the other way around.
Whatever happens though, there better be a NBA season. Gonna be boring without the NFL and NBA next season.

Forgive me for asking, but what exactly is the problem?

Are the teams complaining that their losing money?
Is the union trying to get it's head out of its arse?

The news I've been hearing is so disjointed.

 

The reason why NBA teams aren't making much profit is because idiotic GMs/Owners give max contracts to players that don't deserve 1/5th of that money.

 

When the latest agreement was made the owners actually thought that they good the good side of the deal.

Unless some come to the Australian league this is going to be a shitty few months of basketball when the season returns

 

The NBA owners are saying that 22/30 teams are losing money. The NBA PA wants players salaries to increase even though the average is 5million a year. They are just far apart on everything.

 

I'm wondering now, is there even going to be an NBA season?

It's gonna be a boring year if that's the case . Kobe should go to Turkey or something and win some championships there, lol...

 

He said he probably will go somewhere. Deron Williams went to Turkey. Durant might go to China.
