    PvPing in WoW

Hey everyone, I'd like some help and guidance when it comes to PvP in WoW.

First off, I've played wow before up to like a level 56 NE Hunter ( I chose hunter for the quicker solo leveling and they're easy for first classes), it is currently level 56/57 and I would like to start playing again, only so I can play PvP basically.

What I would like you to teach/tell me are things like, what class/race is dominant in PvP, what are good talent specs for each class and race, I'd also like to know how it works, basic tips and tricks, strategies and more.

If someone could link me to a guide I'd be very thankful or you could teach me or help me out in as much info as you can.

    Thanks

    Hunters are mediocre in pvp

Top classes right now for PvP are warlocks (affliction specced), rogues (subtlety specced), shamans (resto specced), death knights (unholy specced) and mages (frost).

If you were to go at it with your hunter you'd be survival specced...

Best race atm is human because of the extra trinket slot.

Well currently I'm speced as a Marksman for my hunter but I don't really want to PvP on that, I'd be making a new char.

Probably a human frost mage and thanks for the website link.

    And for the reply.

Frost mages are a good pvp starter, enh shamans are also good, and feral droods. those are the top 3 dominant classes besides the overused pally.

Ignore anyone that tells you a certain class is ''the best'' or who claims a certain spec, similarly, is ''the best''. Everything is dependent on how well you can play certain styles.

Finn is right, any class played well is deadly. You generally do start to see the same cookie cutter team combinations in Arena tournaments and higher ratings though. I love it when the only team that doesn't follow the same combination of classes ends up on top :p.

While any class played well is 'deadly' Hunters are near the top of the spectrum. Hunters arn't Mediocre in PvP, they are amazing if you know what you're doing. In Arena, there is a time when no matter what you do your comp will always get beat by your counter. Hunters are in the highest % of arena, on almost every team in every battlegroup.

The reason being, some classes do really well while under pressure. Hunters are one of them, since they are range, they can pillar hop and do damage at the same time. They have a shit ton of defensive cooldowns as well.

Rogues on the other hand, while they hit hard, towards higher brackets when resilience becomes more of an issue, Rogues can get focused down extremely quickly.

    Hope this helped

Hunters are very mediocre in arena due to heavy LOS issues. Hunters are not top of the % for arenas Warriors, DKs, Ferals, Warlocks, Mages, are highly represented as far as dps classes go.

And rogues do not hit hard they just control the matches like frost mages do very well.

I play a hunter and they are mediocre.

rogues will never win against me

casters really hurt, basically have to trade shots and who has the best dose

paladins piss me off, big stalemate

hunters are easy to beat, just bring a pet who can steal their weapon and nuke them

DK are not bad, I beat them 1v1 a lot, but arena ain't 1v1

warriors piss me off, they got more gap closers than my gap extenders

    shamans destroy me

    druids destroy me

that's my experience as a arena hunter.

btw hunters are boss in BG's.. just stay in the back, toss traps, start fucking shit up.. I almost never die in big teams.

This is the worst advice i've seen in quite a while.

First off, I would recommend a class they usually buff, i.e. a paladin or a mage. with that, it really is up to you which race to play. I suggest playing whatever sparks your interest. I roll blood elf warlock, and locks have received nothing but nerfs, but then again I am full vicious 372. regardless, PVP takes a lot more time to master in WoW than Runescape, so just a fair warning.

I see alot of bad advice and misinformation here. Best thing to do in your situation is browse the official site forums here
    http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/
here people are actually "peer-reviewed" on any advice they'll give you. even if you cannot post, there's still alot of valuable info here.

Hunters can be pretty beast in PvP, but so can many other clans, like mages, dks, etc....it really depends on the player and how much practice you've had. Just look around, check forums, and you can find a buncha tips. ;)

I would get to max level before you start worrying about pvp tactics. As for overpowered classes I would say that melee are extremely dominant at the moment although it depends on the bracket you are playing in. For statistics on which classes are most popular etc you should visit the arena junkies and skgaming websites. Just google it.
