MySpace sold for measly $35m

No doubt this website will disappear from the face of the earth at some point. A very pointless investment of $580m+ from News Corp :noworry:

Fail. The 35M is a waste aswell.

MySpace will simply never match up to FaceBook.

I honestly doubt many people still use MySpace. It's mostly home for unsigned bands trying to get famous.

They need to re market MySpace.

Atm, there's absolutely no point in using an inferior and unpopular social network site, other than loyalty.

What a failure of an investment though lol.

 

Justin Timberlake bought a big percentage of the company. From what hes said about it, I'm confident it can be turned around.

 

Well facebook took over pretty face even though Myspace kind of had the idea first but facebook capitalized.

Myspace has been dead in my eyes for a few years now. It had it's heydays, but once it got about 50-50 on Facebook - Myspace, most people just switched over to Facebook.

 

i use to use myspace a lot but now everyone is using facebook so i had to get with the times but 35mil seems pretty low

 

It's actually a fair amount, since it's going down down down for Myspace. Otherwise they wouldn't sell it.

 

Meh. Goodluck to whoever is trying to get the site back on it's feet, but I personally doubt it can happen :\

 

lol I have over 3k friends on myspace. Thats the only thing that was fun about it, having kickass profiles, doing "myspace whore trains". Listening to music. Customizing and making things more personal and like you. I sometimes go on just to listen to music.

The funny thing about this all is that the people who sold it for $35m bought it from Tom for $508m, I would die.

on another note imagine if someone RWT with $508m. loooool

 

I have never believed in Myspace success.

Myspace does not look good, it was a place for Americans to chat with friends (they needed to use Skype instead).

 

I never liked myspace it was hard to follow and just looked plain messy, really crap investment XD

i dont think anything will overcome facebook its just become the social standard =/

It use to be fun...until facebook came around.

 

I joined facebook in 2005, when it was only usable by college students.

 

They should have sold when they were worth something, they should have sold before there was a Facebook/*******.
