More options for Posts

Hi,
I just had a random idea the other day. Most websites that allow comments have a "like" button and/or favorite button. Obviously, this is used for witty comments (or overused ones on youtube such as "#numberofdislikes people are deaf, like justin beiber, etc etc). However, I think that this would be a great addition to Sythe. Often there are posts that are downright hilarious/fail, and I'd like an easier way to save that post to see later if I ever want to "lol". There are no foreseeable drawbacks to this, and would be interesting to see on a forum site.

I'm not sure if this forum could even support this. No support from me just because I don't see the point and could lead to people being sabotaged in the market section.

 

You may be right, thanks. I don't envision negative posts, just positive ones along with the ability to save the thread or something of the like

 

I support a like button would be a nice feature and give some nice laughs. 100% support

 

IPB has this option built in, and even has a setting where if a post gets X number of negative votes, it hides it from view. Although that feature could be abused, it could also help with spam and phishing links, because average members COULD make a difference if several of them gave it bad rep.

If you just give a like button, however, that takes the abuse aspect out of the equation for the most part. I do support having some sort of rating posts, it would be helpful.

There's no real point of this system to be implemented. It helps Sythe in no way and in my opinion completely useless and unnecessary.
