What to do for PlayerAuctions, a guy is disputing the transaction.

Sold a guy 100m over playerauctions, and he claimed to PA he never recieved the item.

I'm kind of new to PA so what shall I do?

 

did u take pics and have proof of the transaction? if not ur screwed lol.

 

I'm new to player auctions too but I'm thinkin this might be the outcome. With player auctions it's always a good thing to make sure the other party confirms delivery BEFORE you trade the gp/item you're selling to them.

 

I assume that if you have screenshots or a vid or some type of proof you gave him the gold, you should be fine, otherwise gl..

Always read and be informed about what happens if a dispute occurs. PlayerAuctions protects sellers in a way Paypal and others don't by accepting ingame screenshot proof. You still have to be cautious...Under the agreement that nobody reads they require that you take two screenshots: 1) while in the trade window with their RSN visible, 2) AFTER the trade has been accepted (showing in the chatbox that it has been accepted). I also like to include the Order #, to be safe. They also accept video evidence, but chances are slim that you videoed it. If you can't provide this proof, then unfortunately you'll lose the case.

EDIT: I should also mention that you should ALWAYS trade to the Runescape Account that was listed on the Order Form. You can also get scammed if they make you deliver it to a different Account name by claiming that the delivery wasn't made to them but to a different person instead.

 

Fuck. I took a screenie on the second page where it shows me giving the 100m, but I didn't take one of the Acceptance.

 

That is COMPLETEY useless, as then the buyer would just be going first....whats the point in PA?

Also, it's really easy to safeguard yourself against scammers by downloading hypercam and recording your screen with nothing but RS and MSN up when you do the trade. That way, if they dispute the trade in anyway, you'll have video evidence that says otherwise.

 

Unfortunately for you some people could fake this happening, therefore as a few people posted above, you do in fact need proof.

Maybe you could work-offline and go to the URL where you sent the funds and it shows.

 

I downloaded Camtasia and simply record all my gold transactions now -- easiest way to never be scammed with PA.

What kind of human being receives the good and then tries claiming his money back, saying he never received the goods..

OT : learn to take screenies man, i know i may sound harsh but your lucky it was only $50 and not more. Treat this as a learning experience for future.

 

Thanks for the input but this is what I had to do with KMJT who is a VERY TRUSTED gold seller.. so I put it as a possible solution for the future... stop being a douchebag..

 

tbh, i take ss every step of the way and at the end, when the buyer got the money i make him say in msn "i testify that i, <PA name> , have received _ M rsgp, Thank you <your PA name>."

if they post that and u SS it i dont see a way where PA wouldnt give you your money, worked for me so far.

 

You Cant Really Do Anything Else Other Than Finding The Person You Traded With And Probably Taking A Legal Action Lol.
