TWC People more often

I've just come here to sell off my runescape gold and so many peoples have added me who have just been so suspicious!

I had billy talent add me - $200+ donator, 70+ vouches. And he refuses to do increments, even though i offered to go first

He wanted 200m instantly.

Same as strpk11 - wanted 600m in one trade, no increments, with me going first.

surely this should be a TWC!! There is no reason a legit member would NOT do increments

It feels like just because their 'trusted' - they want to scam a big amount and get banned on sythe and dont care

 

If you submit a report in 'report a scammer', and you have proof of this, i guarantee you they'll be looked into, some being issued a twc. Trade safely, always ask for a trusted mm!

 

TwC's are extremly stupid and should be removed entirely.

There should be Permenent bans, Temporary bans, and bans from the market in which you cant post

Well he can easily run off with 600M so not worth risking it, if he actually wanted the gold he would do increments, if he was legit. I doubt he values his time so preciously

 

Your doubt doesn't constitute whether or not someone should have their account defaced, and slandered upon.

While this site doesn't demand proof beyond all reasonable doubt, it does maintain a level of consistency when punishing members; Be it a ban, a TwC, or a temporary suspension, it requires solid evidence. Doubt is not evidence, it is merely speculation and hearsay.

 

TWC's aren't something we want to be throwing around like hotcakes.

 

I personally believe anyone not going first, then refusing to even trade even if they're going second, refusing to trade in increments deserves some sort of TWC, as many people will gain trust, then scam. Maybe you are right also, but the TWC will help alot less people be scammed, then legit members receiving the TWC

 

We do actually issue quite a lot of TwCs. If you think someone deserves one, post your reasoning in the report a scammer section.

 

Im not asking you to throw it around, but i believe it should be given if someone is acting suspiciously, and not trading at all, unless their receiving a large sum of gold / paypal, does seem suspicious, as a good percentage of these people will soon find someone to scam for this amount

It's a hard area to create rules on. Basically anything that's suspicious, or nearly a scam, but the user hasn't actually scammed, or the user has had a lot of reports on them with insufficient proof etc. etc.

 

In your case, they're are mitigating circumstances.

For a newcomer who just registered, perhaps, you may be able to justify a TwC.
However, for a members who have a reputation, been around a while, and donated a small yet substantial amount to the site, the benefit of the doubt goes to them.

Look up the laws of natural justice, it's better for a guilty man to go free, than an innocent man to be punished.

I always laugh when donators get banned.

I support your argument, if someone is being shady they should have a TwC

 

I spoke to him on Msn after, he donated $200 and scammed about 350M, Which is about $175, lol

Eh, Could of been prevented. I posted a TWC Report of him last night with sufficient evidence and it was denied by RsProd.

 

I will often reject increments if I don't have the time. If someone is buying 500m from me I won't do 10m or 50m increments. It is extremely suspicious to paypal if there are 10 gift payments in a row; they will limit your account.

 

Yeah, I'll have to support this, paypal do get suspicious, and it's fairly understandable if you refuse increments, then trade another guy a similar amount with a smooth trade. But the 'trusted' members soon get to a point where they just go all out and scam, this needs to be prevented.
