jagex should start selling gold, that would suck tho but atleast they would make a buck.

 

no , in my opinion its not the botters and or inflamation. i personally think that now with the pk update and the drops being seen when u die/drop an item by everyone means that items no longer leave the game, they just rotate around accounts. With the old system, items would leave the game since you wouln't always get them in drops, and when people rage quit they would just drop everything, but no1 was able to pick those items up. causing a stable input and output. now, there is practically no output.

This is somewhat true. Although Jagex would probably want gold at like 10 cents per mil for the gold sellers. However this cheap price would make even more people want to buy gold. So a Ags would be 250 mil as gold is becoming even more available. Gold buyers wouldn't care as there still buying the ags at the same price as before. But the players who play runescape legit and don't buy gold will have work even harder for their ags. This would cause a uproar among the legit players. So jagex would have to go even more brutal on bots. Which would hopefully raise the price of gold and restore balance to the game. During that time tho there would be a mass of players who quit.

 

That statement is simply not true. Jagex easily has the resources and means to curb botting drastically, they just don't. It really is that simple.

That is true to some extent, but in reality, if Jagex took away 1T GP, or added 100 phats, absolutely nothing would change. The reason why? Perception. Unless Jagex made it publicly known X amount of GP has been removed, or X amount of phats have been added, everyone would still think there are the same amount of phats and GP in the game, thus changing nothing. For all we know, there could be more blue phats than any other color, but unless Jagex actually came out with that statement, people's perception would be the same, which is blue phats are rarest; therefore, their price is the highest.

That really wouldn't actually solve anything, and there are already ways to store more than max cash: putting it in the GE is one way, or buying spirit shards since their price is static.

 

I don't think the price of GP will go much farther down.

Since there are so many bots farming RSGP, the average Profit/Hour drops, which means bots have to run longer and more often to get 1M than ever before. The more bots there are, the spot gets even worse. So even though there will be even more bots doing great money making methods, the effectiveness of those bots will decrease and keep the price where it is now.

When Supply > Demand prices drop.

 

Gold is already selling for 0.6$/mil .:s

I'm pretty tired of seeing this arguement. It has gotten to the point where every single decent thing in this game is botted with the exception of corp, bandos, and PKing. I get tired of shit like that. I recently returned to the game and thought, "Man, I should go down some frost dragons". Showed up at frost dragons, shook my head, and home called out.

There was a point in time where bots were needed for the game's economy. That is no longer the case.

 

Good answer! I Jagex would never sell their gold, they just need to find a way to stabilize their economy. That is why they are banning profit making bots and leaving the rest alone.

It doesn't matter what we know, the market will adjust itself overtime. The only thing knowledge will do in this instant is accelerate the process due to investment, and fear.

 

It's not as easy as it sounds.

I don't think prices will fall much less than 0.40 cents p/m. All rare holiday items will just just even rise in price more.

 

the rsgp price is going down but the price of rares is going up so it`s pretty much the same shit and its alot easier to make money now than it was few years ago and that is why is going down
