How long do you think RuneScape will last?

What are your predictions for the end of RuneScape.

Like a Legit end.

Like where Jagex says, "Thanks for ... years and support us on our new products".

or shall RuneScape be bought via another company and made totally shit?

 

They have a large user base. It will last for many years to come..

 

Another 5 more years at the least.

 

i think it will last a really long time
but i say it will become unbearable in about 3-5 years

2-5 years before Jagex kills the servers in my opinion.

 

I predict they will attempt to reinvigorate the game somehow rather than just shutdown. and at some point they will be losing money.

 

No way there is still a steady stream of new players playing.. Look at diablo 2 it's still got servers. Runescape won't be replaced, I think it will change dramatically in the future tho.

 

I honestly believe it's going to continually update and improve for years to come..

 

I don't believe in an end, but I do believe in drastic changes over the years to come.

 

3-5 years, then they will move on to their MMO with transformers.

 

I agree, and 2-5 years lol! This game won't be going down anytime soon. Andrew gower is one of the youngest millionaires in the world.This game will last lol

 

As long as they have paying customers.

 

if they make money from it( and they do alot) it will stay up for many years

 

until another mmorpg is made with better graphics and a very well balanced game that blends combat and skill mastery perfectly, the skill depths and ranks is what really makes this game shine imo, idk why no other game has done this yet.

 

when i get my first 99 they'll shut servers down, sadly i havn't done this in 10 years, so it'll prob be another 10 years.


i think RS is the WoW of browser based games. as far as numbers/long running time.

 

i could see it lasting 10+ more years.

Theres millions on at a time currently, and they're still growing.

Theres still "noobs" coming into the game, that have no idea sythe exists

 

RS will die with it's makers or til they start losing money
No reason to kill your highly profitable "job until it becomes unprofitable.

 

Another question? Do you guys think Jagex will ever release a CD Version of RuneScape? Yes I know they are known for their Browser, but do you believe a New version is bound to be released?
