Sythe Advertising

yeah most newcomers like sythe but then get scammed and just quit

Sythe.org is the biggest name that represents rs cheating. I am pretty sure everyone knows sythe.org. People are here for business, not for pleasure.

you can't advertise it as black market site, it would have to be advertised as fansite or something.

 

Not everyone, many people, especially buyers of RuneScape goods, does not know.

Lured, I have already explained, how it would be done.

 

The problem with newcomers is that they are easily manipulated and scammed. We need to emphasize on the importance, in being able to determine the quality of the trader's vouches along with emphasizing the use ot seeking aid from official mms/sythe staff.

 

The guides about the security while trading (like the one I have created), needs to be stickied.

 

I think you can get the money through the advertisement which some runescape site want to adertise on your site.

If you are going down the advertising road, I'm not sure if it would be cost effective, should you advertise on facebook, google etc.
Since sythe is mainly comprised of runescape players, my suggestion would be to advertise on another community, such as 'runescape community' 'tip it' 'rune hq' etc.

I think should you advertise on google, people may register, but would they actually partake in using the forums on a regular basis when they've never played or shown any interest in main forum here which is 'runescape'.

Having said my suggestion about other runescape help sites, etc. I'm not really sure of the number of people from those sites that already use sythe.

Not on google, via google ads, and by advertising via google ads it would be visible on tip.it, zybez.net, runehq.net and so on.

 

Slap your face and ask yourself: Would JaGex endorse these fansites if they encouraged RS cheating? Zybez already aren't on their list (last time I checked) 'cause they denied some sort of advertisement offer from them. Most fansites would definitely pick JaGex over Sythe.

 

Would not be able if they would manualy block Sythe.

I am saying how Google ads is working, not saying that we should advertise on these websites, it was Oxodium's idea.

If it would be possible, it would bring good traffic.

And yes, Zybez is not official RuneScape community.

 

Yeah, the first step to retaining members would be to form a more inviting community that isn't critical of new members and those with a low post-count. The elitists have stigmatized new traders to the point where they can't even get started. It's a shame. Information should be more readily available to the less intelligent members, who refuse to read the stickies or ask for advice on how to become trustworthy. Perhaps a mandatory guide that must be read before registration. You'd get more legitimate trades that way, and less "leechers." Make sure they've read it, there are obviously methods to do so.

 

Very good post, new traders can not even start normally.

 

More newer members = More scammers , Ban Evaders..
And as previously mentioned, people gravitate to Sythe as acitivity on Runescape increases.
Don't support. Not a good idea and a waste of money..

 

When RuneScape had lower activity with trade limit, Sythe activity was bigger.

 

More people is always better and im sure that there always more new people joining runscape everydaY If there was a way to advertise scythe say contests on youtube, Advertising contest on youtube and etc. Scythe can get a lot more people.
