    Tips on waking up?

Like the title says, I can usually stay semi conscious while my iPod alarm runs for an hour but really can't wake up completely. Especially since I'll have to wake up earlier after summer, are there any little "tricks" you guys use?

Edit: Noticed this was asking for "help", so it shouldn't be in this section ... if a mod could move this it would be great :)

I have the same problem. Self discipline is the only real "cure" to this.

Get off the bed and jump and move around as soon as you wake up. That always gets me.

Also drink a 5-Hour Energy drink. None of thise 6-hour or 7-hour, just the legit 5-hour.

    Tips on waking up?

I sleep through heaps of alarms at one stage in my life I had my mum set an alarm so she could wake me up. Now I got 2 alarms on my phone kept on the otherwise of side of the room and a bedside table alarm that is so loud it scares me awake lol.

After a big night on the piss I sometimes put my phone in my pocket so the vibration wakes me lol. I can sleep thro almost anything.

Haha, I have this problem, It's hardest to actually get out of bed.

I put my alarm out of reach, so in order for me to turn it off, I'll have to actually get out of my bed to do so; once I'm out of my bed, everything is easy.

Another tip is getting 9 hours of sleep.

Put the alarm across the other side of the room, so you HAVE to get up and turn it off. Also, try and go to bed at a decent hour.
Sleep cycles go for an hour and a half, so if you can possibly time your alarm when a cycle starts, you'll feel much better.

    Tips on waking up?

Put your alarm far away from you so you have to get up to turn it off. The farther the better, as long as you can still hear it well (I still tended to turn it off in my sleep)

^ This. Also, I am an extremely deep sleeper, and can sleep through both of my alarms for hours. I find what is helpful is having someone physically wake you up, if possible.

    Tips on waking up?

You just need to force yourself. Self-discipline, like someone has already mentioned.

I have to wake up 5:30 in the morning every day. It's such a chore.

    Tips on waking up?

Before going to bed think about something important that you have to do tomorrow so you can wake up early... That works without even a clock. Yes, I'm serious.

    Tips on waking up?

Wake up quick ! try doing some pushups/situps as exercise will give you energy, i also suggest you to go to the gym. Don't drink 5-hour energy or anything like that as your body will require it to maintain focus and energy, just be natural. Also try to stay awake, perhaps a shower might help.

    Tips on waking up?

I sleep really well at night. Most people suggest that teenagers get 8-10 hours a sleep a night; I function just fine on 5-6. I get really deep sleep every night. I don't eat that much junk food and I exercise. I also meditate too. Because I do all of this my body gets a good deep sleep and wakes it self up early.

    Tips on waking up?

What I do, is I set my alarm on one of my computer which I have set across the room, my bed is on the other side.
I turn it loud, so then I'll wakeup and be forced to get up and turn it off, at that point I'll walk a little to stay awake and then I'm fine :)

    Worth a try.
