Considering all that he was involved in, I think that he deserved what he got. He would have been found guilty in a court of law.

okay you can call me stupid and all but i dont think they killed him at all. if it was osama they wouldn't have dumped him in the ocean... that just sounds stupid to me, and btw osama wouldn't have hidden in such an obvious place. Dont you think im for al qaeda but i want more proof to really believe he's dead

They have done DNA testing and confirmed that the body killed matches the DNA or Osama's. Want to argue that America is lieing?
They have done other forms of testing to confirm that the body killed has all the same traits as Osama. Still believe America is lieing?
They have Osama's wife saying that it was her husband that was killed. You don't want to believe his own wife?
America offered Osama's body to his home town/city (from memory), they declined and so America drowned his body.

Well, after all this, you could still deny that Osama was killed, how about the Taliban confirming his death?

Now, given all this evidence, and presumably more.
You are denying America's evidence, the Taliban's confirmation, and Osama's own wifes wails of distress.

    What evidence do you demand?

Also, they dumped his body into the ocean because they didn't want to bury it and have it become a shrine.

I'd like you to prove that.

Morality is entirely subjective. He didn't "deserve" anything. He killed people so he was killed. The morality of the matter is irrelevant.

I agree, to some people he is now a matyr. But if you gave him a fair trial and he was executed/jailed, he would still be a hero. And if he was set free, he can continue scheming to kill westerners. Truth is, there is no risk-free way to deal with him.

I have to agree no matter what he done, he deserved a fair trial.

    Osama's death was not justified

This thread reminded me a lot of Finn's thread.

Not every murder is one caused by hatred. The majority of the people who posted in the thread listed above stated that they would willingly kill another human being if their or a family member/friend's life was in danger. If I 'had' to kill somebody, I definitely wouldn't be happy afterwards, but you can bet I'd let out a sigh of relief knowing that I/my family/whoever was no longer in danger.

As for the 'fair trial' point - I've done some research (I like to call it that, in reality I just Googled it and read one news article because I cba looking too far into this) and nothing that I read stated that the initial plan of the team was to kill Osama. Only that they entered the compound, a gunfight took place, and he used a woman as a human shield. For all we know, their goal could have been to walk in and leave with Osama in handcuffs, ready to spend life in prison or be put on death row. If this was the case and people were put in a kill or be killed scenario, you can't really say that the kill was out of hatred. If you had a gun in your possession while you were being shot at by another person, would you drop your weapon and let the person kill you because you don't think it is right to kill?

I'm also somewhat disgusted by the celebrations and news reports. Don't really know how to elaborate on that, so I'll just end the post here.

It was a shoot out. Please tell me when have you even seen an American Pull a gun on a cop and not get killed? not to mention he would of never got a fair trial, in America or anywhere else.
