    Shin splints

Well I used to play basketball everyday for like 4+ hours a day, and I'd get shin splints eventually.

I don't have them right now I'm just curious as to if there's a way to prevent them or have them heal faster?

I heard if you job backwards it helps? I'm not really sure/haven't looked into it.

    Shin splints

Curing shin splints just take time. I'll occasionally have them during the soccer season. Try icing your shins for 15-20 mins a few times a day. Pain killers help a little bit too.

    Shin splints

Thanks man, I just feel like I'll be getting them soon since I've been playing basketball for 5+ hours a day.

    Shin splints

I used to play sport all week long from ages 6 - 17, shin splints is a tendon problem and not bone.. Nothing works except rest. Acupuncture relives the pain but you can't just go out their and start bouncing/jumping/running around after it.

    Good old fashion rest..
