need help adding a credit card to my Paypal!

title explains it, i need to add this new mastercard gift card to my paypal but im having trouble doing it because Paypal has changed the way you're supposed to do it since the last time i added a card to my account.

i know that they take off a small balance and you verify it by typing in a security code that they send you and then they refund your money, but i cant find that. when i did try to set up the card, it took a $1 balance off of my card but i dont see a security code or anything to verify it.

any suggestions?
