Oh I misread in the beginning, my apologies.

 

They are certainly NOT justified. The nazis live a considerably happy and free life whereas the millions of lives they affected are forever depressed from the norm

 

Are you saying the actions of the nazi's aren't justified or war crimes aren't justified?

 

well, some of the nazis were just doing what they were told. they didnt know about the whole lesbenraum concept that hitler has planned. ( anything other than german is taking up german air.)

 

People are saying the germans did wrong by joining the army so they are able to save their family...
But, aren't the allies doing the same thing ? Killing the Germans in order to save their own civilization ?
What's the difference ?

 

I'd understand if the enemy were hiding amongst the civilians, sort of like using them as a shield to protect themselves whilst still harming your nation. But, the idea of "they killed our civilians, so we'll kill theirs" imo is just wrong.

 

Total war is just that though. Total war.

Civilians are apart of it whether they are in the military or not. Now many countries and generals are against the practice of attacking civilians, however we can't eliminate the possibility that it can and will be done. They're potential soldiers that would become a threat if unchecked.

It's like Japan during WWII, their civilians were able to become soldiers and fight to the death without even missing a beat.
