Basically, I signed onto someone's rs account that was hacked apparently and they have my IP address and they think I am the one who hacked them, they are threatening me with DDoSing and hacking my computer and other accounts. Is there anything they can do with my IP address to do stuff like this? If there is, how can I change it or get something to protect against it?
Are you dynamic or static IP? Also they can DDos you (Disconnect your internet) but they cannot hack you
My IP appears to be static as it is the same everytime I login and check like whatismyip or the last login on runescape.
Using a proxy won't help him in any way. They already have his i.p using a proxy will just block or change it for future uses That's it.
Don't worry about it. Every kid on the internet threatens to DDos but few actually know how/waste their time doing it.
Nothing will happen, I assure you. No one who can successfully DDOS plays runescape.. or not many do at least. Most are kids being e-thugs.
This is the only post in this thread you should read. Also, read these DOS DDOS You have absolutely nothing to worry about. It's just a bullshit threat people make when they're mad just to try and scare idiots that know nothing about the internet. The probability of someone knowing how to do either of those AND having the tools to do it are slim to none, especially if they're playing RS. It may sound kinda scary, but you're completely fine. And even if they do DDos or Dos you, nothing will happen except your internet will be very slow or not work at all until they stop. Big deal. But you'll never even have to go that far since nobody knows how to do it anyway.
So if you signed onto a hacked account and your IP was last, how come no one sees this as fishy ? Lol
