What phone do you use?

So I recently purchased a new phone and I'm curious as to what type of phones you guys use. Tell what kind of phones you have, what carrier you use, specs if you'd like, and what you like and dislike about the phone. Feel free to go into great detail and include pictures with your response.


I'll start.



Motorola Droid X2


Okay, I'm gonna start by stating that this is, by far, the best phone I've ever owned.

I absolutely love the Mobile Hotspot feature. I can bring my phone with to a buddies house and have all 4 of us sitting around on our own laptop using my phone as a router. And it's way faster than I expected.

The fact that on top of that I can also connect to a Wifi network and use that to increase my speed when using the internet or streaming movies just makes it all the better.

It can work as an FM radio by using the headphones you plug in as an antenna.

Like every phone now, it has gps. Google Maps and streetview are also included.

It syncs with just about any social network you can come up with and puts all the notifications in one mailbox for easy viewing and deleting.

I can record 720p HD video with the 8mp camera on the back. I can play 1080p videos flawlessly and on anything I want utilizing the MicroHDMI port. And I can have live video chats using the camera on front.

There is a crazy amount of free apps in the android market and something to do just about anything you can imagine. Not to mention the Verizon app market has a few good ones as well.

The games good too. Angry Birds, Need for Speed Shift, Tap Fish, Drag Racer, they're all fun and way better than any game I had on my old BBCurve 8330.

And last, most importantly, and my overall favorite feature of this phone is that it comes with a dual core, 1ghz processor. This thing is fast. I have not once seen it skip a frame in a video or lag slightly during a game. Everything loads more than twice as fast as my friends Droid X and there is a very noticeable difference in response time for the touch screen.


The only thing that I do not like about my phone is that it does not support 4G. It seems now that you can either get a dual core processor or 4g capable phone, but not both. Considering I do not have 4G coverage in my city, I opted for the dual core processor and the hope that by the time I need a new phone, I can get both in one package.

The battery life isn't the best, but then again, it's that dual core processor and touch screen sucking out all the juice. I have to charge it 2-4 times per day, depending on how much I use it. That isn't really a problem though because I'm pretty much always at a place I can charge it. I don't like carrying the charger around, but it's not really a big reason to hate on the phone. The charger was very short (about 2 feet long) so I used a usb extension cord thing to make it longer. No more negatives though other than it gets VERY hot for a phone.

Overall, I love it.

iPhone 3GS. I love it. I'm with AT&T which is dfkasghafl, but other than that, it's cool.

 

Currently have the original droid, not a bad phone for how old it is. I'm on Verizon and hoping to upgrade to an iPhone when my contract ends later this year.

 

iPhone 4G.

Love it! Cept the Aussie... everything sucks down here in relation to internet and mobile coverage; *******.

 

iPhone 4 from AT&T, just got it a couple months ago.

Likes: App store is great, very user-friendly imo

Dislikes: None so far

 

Nokia E51, just yesterday my iPhones screen cracked on me.

I'm using an iPhone 4, got it a little while ago. Pretty pleased with it. My previous phone was a cheap one, so having good 3G coverage on this phone is great. Very useful for when I'm on the train to university (though the coverage gets a little spotty during the trip).

iPhone 4, with vodaphone.. i hate vodaphone, their coverage has gotten heaps shit in the last 6 months.

 

iPhone 4 with Optus.
Australian mobile plans are so expensive though. $65/month for an iPhone.
In America when I was on holiday I saw $10 iPhone plans. I was like wow.

 

iphone 4 as well.. by far best phone I have ever used. The smooth web browsing is orgasmic

 

Xperia x10 Mini Pro.

Awesome little phone, only droid OS 2.1 but it does it for me...
Pictures are great, recording isnt so good.
I'm planning to sell it in real life though for a bold, or torch :/..

 

LG KF750. Bought it 2 years ago, its kinda dead now but still gets the job done

 

Iphone 4, going to buy Iphone 5 as soon as it's out ^_^
