Explanation of the trade:

A trusted friend of mine messaged me about an account available. Ace made first contact with Ghostmane and then created a discord group chat with the three of us. We both verified and check Ghostmane's discord name and Unique ID with the account details listed on the thread.

I asked for details of the account, which Ghostmane provided two screenshots (1) account stats, and (2) completionist capes page.

I asked about account history and Ghostmane claimed 0 offenses No infractions or black marks.

I asked about price and Ghostmane confirmed 300 USD. I offered 250 and they said no.
I asked if they would be willing do to half payment upfront, I receive the account details and verify, and then send second half after verification. They said no to that and told me to check vouches/scythe page.

I confirmed crypto payment method and requested LTC address which they provided.

I sent payment and screenshot, waited the pending time period and they confirmed receipt.

Ghostmane then responded by saying they would provide recovery information and all info from Original owner and deliver within 4-5 hours. (He never explained he was selling the account for a friend and never claimed he did not own the account). Ace requested in chat to send the accounts login details for now.
Ghostmane reponded by saying they don't login to the account toa void many IP's and Locks, and then told us it was a trusted friend of theirs. "Wont take longer than 4-5h".
Ace said they shouldn't be selling if they don't have login details.
I stated I expected delivery within 5 hours.
4 hours 30minutes passed with no response. Ace tagged and Ghostmane claimed they just got home and were looking into it.

I tagged again at the 5 hour mark and Ghostmane responded with a screen shot of the friend in which they claimed they were driving home from college and would be 2 more hours until they got home.

Waited 3 hours and 45 minutes and tagged Ghostmane for response. He responded by saying he sent a message for an update. "if they don't send details over till the morning ill issue u a refund"
I responded alright, depending on what I see when I get up i except to see fill account details or a refund and provided my LTC address for refund.

When I woke up, I seen Ace had tagged Ghostmane with no response for 5 hours.
At the 6 hour Mark I tagged Ghostmane and explained that if I did not receive Full account details or a full refund by the time he confirmed receipt of funds (24hrs) I would be submitting this scythe report.

How they scammed: confirmed payment receipt, and has not provided account details within timeframe they provide nor extended timeframe requested, nor within 24hours.


I have patiently waited 24 hours now and Ghostmane has failed to deliver Account Details or a refund.


Ace just found a link to a different thread of someone selling similar account with identical screen shots that were provided by Ghostmane. They are exactly the same. Ghostmane is selling accounts he doesn't own.

At the time of posting this report Ghostmane hasn't responded in 15 hours despite claiming to be online 24/7 on his Scythe Profile. I think at this point Ghostmane has made it clear that they dont intend to deliver account details, or issue the refund that was offered.

Update, 48+ hours. No delivery. No refund. No response. 1 other report of Ghostmane scamming has been posted and I know of a third likely coming as another user reached out to me for help because his English isn’t good.
strongly suggest a DNT be applied to Ghostmane’s account until these are resolved.
