making a pure melee, but which kind ?

heya guys,

ive recently started a new pure im autofightering up at the moment, ive never had an alt/pure before and am unsure whats the best type of pure to go for ? preferably more arena based than wildy pvp as im not good at taking the risks lol.

I didnt really know what kinda there are except for godsword or d claws really. also it has to be melee based as my main is range/mage

 

Arena staking is all about attack and Strength for DDS/rapier fights, but high defense for boxing. The best type of pure is one with a Rapier, which requires 80 dungeoneering to get. It is extremely nice, as it hits consistently high against its levels. You can also get a D Scim/D claws pure, but it isn't as fun at a low level, because almost EVERYONE has Phoenix Necklaces. I suggest you watch PK vids to see which style of pure you like best.

 

50 attack 90 strength 94 magic 70 Dung , Arcane stream = Bawhs

 

60att 99str or 50 attack 99str, low hp.

 

Like DragonTails said, a pure with a Chaotic Rapier is ownage, but you have to like it, and want to get all the skills etc.

 

Maxed turmoil zerker. It's what I am doing and it is the msot consistent moneymaker when pking.

 

well im not very rich so cant do money extensive choices, also im not sure id have the patience for 80 dung : /

 

Try buying idung pro or get some poeple to do some free dung training only takes 2weeks max from 1

 

if your willing to get the dung for rapier, i would say go for that.

 

50 attack, 99 str, 1 def, 94 magic.

& stake.

 

Buy IDungeonPro by Kiko for the 5 or 10 bucks it costs. Its truly worth it. After this just bot to 80 dungeon while having your attack style training attack during 1-80 dung so that you'll have the requirements to wield the rapier when you get it. After you get your rapier have fun owning everyone else that didn't feel like getting one.

 

If you have cash: Turm Zerker
If you have mems: Chaotic Staker
if you don't have anything: G2her

 

Choatic pures are amazing but risk next to nothing, and you have to go pk in +1 worlds meaning a ton of 1 itemers.

Also, with lower prayer (31-44) you are easily smited or pray dropped.

High risk is generally much better for pures as there are a lot less claw rushers, and if you actually kill one, you get the loot.

60/90-99/1 builds are great, 43-45 prayer is a must.

 

Ok, this is based on experience. Chaotic Rapier pures aren't as hot as you think. I had a chaotic rapier pure and it got absolutey wrecked by vesta longsword pures of LOWER combat levels. I'm lvl 69 rapier pure with 1 defense, they are lvl 63 pure with same attack and lower strength. Yes, I hit frequently, but when I hit those 2's and 9's, those vesta long sword's hit me for 20's almost every time they touched me. Sure, I won sometimes, but I counted all the duels I did with vesta longsworders and my ratio is 4:15. Does that sound even to you?

(btw i'm not stupid, its just I was theoretically suppose to win those vesta vs rapier duels according to google search <<)

and DDS? Lol don't even joke around. What you want is 75 magic so you can SOL. DDS = SOL. It won't even boost your combat levels =P.
