how do defeat mages..

wut the title says... that freeze and bind or wutever is annoying! and protect from magic doesnt seem to help... wut do i do?

as they all said, bring dragon hides. and if you bring range they will be even more fucked

 

Well certain types are stronger and weaker then others, which is the 'Runescape Cycle'.

Mage beats Melee
Range beats Mage
Melee beats range

If you wear d'hides it'll be harder for the mage user to cast a spell on you.

 

Look at the triangle, that would tell you to range them! If you wear d'hide and range them they might switch to protect range. This is the time I would bust out my dds and spec them. It is really effective because it is easy to time while ranging with a MSB, and second, dds cuts through full mystic like its nothing

 

Wear d hide, simple as that

Bring ur best d hide possible and bring a bow right when u see ur un froze run up spec with a k0 wep such as ags claws or mabey even dds?

By barely touched I'm guessing you mean a level 3 or close to that.

If you want to be a pure, then go for:

40 att
80+ str
1 def
80+ range
1/31/44 prayer
59+ mage (mage doesn't matter too much in f2p)
70+ hp

or tank

60 att
80+ str
40/70/99 def
80+ range
44 prayer
59+ mage
80+ hp

or

Just a maxed main, no arm people with a full rune risk.

Melee > Range, you can't hit 700s with mage.

With that being said, melee the fuckers and wear full rune like a boss.

 

I don't know why everyone keeps going ranger mode... The reason so many people get mad at mages is because they always win with little to no effort.... So my solution... I made a f2p mager... currently 59 mage and 42 constitution... never lost a str8 up battle and have pked about 400k so far... easy.

 

no offense or anything but if you're calling it " freeze and binds " i don't think you should be in the wilderness.

but back on topic if you're getting frozen just tele out of there.

personally... I have no idea because I have never tried that combo... but trust me in f2p... I've had most success with just a pure mage... no other cb stats up (except constitution)
