Internet shuts off when laptop lid closes.

for the last week or so whenever i try to bot on my laptop and i close the lid the computer keeps running but the internet and wifi shuts off. i have tryed puting my settings to maximun always and tryed a few other things.. My settings in power under when lid closes are both do nothing. But the internet shuts off. It never used to do this but now it does and i have no idea what changed it..

 

My mom always closes my laptop every night, so it ALWAYS fucks up my bots. Lmao, just keep it open. That's what I told her to do.

 

Just keep it open or don't close it till end if you don't want to see the lights coming from the screen. But it's strange that your internet shuts off in that way. It may be that your computer wants to save power since it's closed so it disconnects from the wi-fi.

 

Change the Black light on the laptop, make it so the screen goes black after 1 minute if the minimum.

That's what I do.

 

I have laptop and when i close the screen stays on and internet also Have done this so my mom or dad could not shut it and let my bot fuck up

Waht i did is

The battery icon down ur screen click on that and do More options
then u get a list with the things u can do run it high med or low

At the left side there is a list for me with the option

and i choose the downside iam dutch hard to translate what exactly there but i shall try to roughly

lid confirhuration
or it can be configuration closing lid or sumthing there is a list with 6 options

Wich u can set at

Close lid pc goes off
keep it on forever when closing

Wich make my pc stays on but it puts out the screen only when its open so i dont have that much light in my room my parents mostly think its out

Haha yeah what multiple people said, I just leave my Laptop open

 

but the thing is it used to work perfectly when the laptop closes. i dont get it lol i didnt change any settings and the computer stays on just not the internet

You can put a screensaver on it to make it go black?

 

disable sleep and hibernation (use google)...or just tell your mum not to touch your laptop...

It's easy to check and see what hardware is being turned off when you close the lid of your laptop. Send me a PM with your operating system (Windows Vista, Windows 7, Mac OSX, etc) and I can show you how to fix it from there.

 

Dude my parents always close my computer and it makes me mad! Just keep it open and everything will be ok haha!

 

Just leave it open, if you cant make it go black put a towel or sweatshirt over the screen

 

Fondle with your powersave options under your battery menu.

Or hardwire plug in your laptop to the internet, instead of wi-fi.

 

Keep it open and hide it under your bed when you bot. That's what my IRL friend does.
