Looking to make a pure

What the title says.

I want something that will be a good pker, but I also don't want to blow through all my money making the thing. What's the best type of pure I could make, relative to cost?

 

well it depends, its hard to have a good pure as well as a good staker, in my own opinion the best stakers are boxers with shitty stats, like 60/30/60 or something like that, whereas a beast pker would be 60/90+/1

 

Alright. I have a maxed boxer, so I guess let's drop the staker part.

What's the best pker with respect to cost?

 

60/99/30 with 31 prayer - ADDY DADDY FTW, RESPECT THEIR AUTHORITY.
60/90/1 with 31 prayer - Dscimmy -> Dds\Dclaws
50/99/1 with 94 mage & 11 prayer, Blitz/Barrage -> Gmaul

 

I was wondering. How would a 99 def/str pure fare in the wild?

I don't see why that wouldn't work.

99def/str puts me at 94 hp, which is exactly 80 combat.

Range hits on them and at 80cb there will be range tanks

13 pray 50 attack pure, or 45 pray 60 att bridder, or 52 attack Godsword/rapier/cmaul pure

 

Honestly, just a regular old 99/99/1 pure is free (well besides like some rune armor), and it works good.

 

You could just make a Granite Mauler. They're basically the most simple type of pure, and they're really cheap. 50-9x-1 with maybe 70-90 range for use of Rune Knives is all you need, and you don't lose much in the wildy when you die.

I do happen to have a 40-82-1 pure sitting around, so I might put that to use. Why wouldn't a 1-99-99 pure work, though?

I always see posts saying keep 1 def, but it doesn't seem people have experimented with 99.

 

Because that's horrible. You won't hit on people and at level 80 combat you're looking to fight zerker/turmoil pures or tanks, you won't hit at all with an obby maul, whereas their range/ c mauls will tear you apart, regardless of your defence level.

if your botting you might wanna consider obby mauler 1-99-1 31 pray. they own

 

For cheap and easy, do a ranger.

Start off getting like 20ish range. then head to wildy and pk your way up.

I pked up to lvl 72 from lvl 1 (though i started in rsc ) now hes 79 range 45 def and fucking rips.

And hes cheap aswell, just gotta get him a handcannon now.

 

yeah handcannon pures are pretty good aswell, but they cost a lot to make ive heard? any idea how much it costs for a handcannon(skills etc)

 

Handcannon is like 170k, and the skills don't really cost a thing needed for the cannon.

Also, make sure you QUEST the defence.
