How does Jagex ban bots?

Maybe this is a simple question but I need to know>_<
Is it MOSTLY:
Checking for patterns
Player's "Report Abuse" or
High Stats?

 

1. Failed Randoms.
2. Player reports.
3. Similar patterns.
4. P Mod or J Mod catches you and you don't reply.

These are the ones how jagex catches you, i think... lol

 

Via algoritms, they see if you repeat the same steps, doing things which normal human would not do (for example doing certain things always at the same timing).

 

I'd rank them by significance as runescapepro12 has ranked them above.

Randoms are probably most important, followed by player reports.
I'd imagine that simply doing the same movements, while still capable of getting you banned, is not as important as the other two.

 

I hear if you log out during a random this is a big red flag for jagex.

 

My bot failed on randoms many times and its still going
Didn't get a ban nor rollback since I started botting - 2 years ago?
It's mostly reports and Bots hunting raid (Pmods and Jmods).

 

They rely alot on player reports
avoid those and your good

 

Randoms, player reports and moderators running in to you are the biggest ways to be banned.

 

Player Reoports = #1 Reason

 

Botting dung FTW.

 

Def player reports and failing at randoms.

If I were you I'd bot somewhere not over populated for bots.
Make sure you check on your bot every now and then incase of randoms.

 

jagex has never officially released that information. any information that other people give you would just be speculation (not to say speculation is wrong it probably has some merit behind it).

They ban you by one of two ways.

1. Randoms (that you fail hard aka your bot can't do it)
2. People report you

TO PREVENT PEOPLE REPORTING YOU BOT IN A "QUICK CHAT WORLD" AND IF YOUR AUTO ALCHING, BOT AT SOUL WARS BANK THERE'S 0 RANDOMS GF EVER GETTING BANNED.

 

No one knows for sure really, but probably from doing the same over thing like bots tend to do.

 

Pretty sure from player reports.

 

I would agree with above posters. Player Reports,Failing Randoms,Doing the same thing for long periods of time. Plus staying on for a long time increases the chances of getting reported and failing randoms and throws up a red flag on your account

 

Has anyone ever had experience with a Mod catching you? I've always heard this but never actually experienced it or talked to anyone who had it happen to them.

 

It could happen, wrong place at the wrong time. There's no real way of avoiding this unless you bot in uncommon botting areas, but you never know..

 

I once had jmod come to talk to me when I was using RID mta bot, he was indeed bot busting, so glad I was at my comp at that moment. Their "bot detection system" is a joke.
