I'd say yea, the robot is botting. It's not going to enjoy its new stats for itself - it's obtaining those stats for a human overloard.

Hence, it fits the definition of a macro.

And the answer to your first question is yes, it is botting. The reason is because a human isn't doing the work on the account.

 

I guess that counts as macroing. The game is intended for the human to do the work, if the robot did it for you, it is botting/macroing.
