    Choosing a Car

I would go with a newer car then an older car.

Although BMWs do like nice, general maintenance the car can get quite expensive.

    I would go with a mazda/nissian/honda.

If you have a steady income you could go with something a bit more nicer looking but they usually cost more at the tank.

    Choosing a Car

I'm a truck guy, but why spend 13k on a vehicles that's a 97? Around here for 13k you could get yourself a beautiful vehicle.

    Choosing a Car

I just got answer from the guy on the one with 48k miles he stated to make an offer so price will be lower than 13k.. On the other hand, BMW are worth the price if you got the money IMO. But this thread is mostly what everyone else think and what kind of models out there :D

Get a 2002-2005 3 series. That's what I have and it does all you can ask of a car. Pretty cheap too. If you choose one of the more unpopular colors you can save a few grand. Good luck.

I definitely looked at the older z3's like you did when I was buying my car, but in all honesty the 3-series will drive much better, cost much less to insure and repair, and be a much more useful car for daily tasks. The z3 doesn't really have anything special when compared to the 3-series. Just get a convertible to satisfy your open air desires.

As you seem like you're pretty young, it's definitely better to get a used car then a new one, but in all honesty if you had some more money i highly recommend getting the nissan 350z

save abit more if you already have a car, your fairly close to being able to buy a brand new one.

ik a new car will cost you with taxes and all that...

but atleast your still got a warrenty on it, and don't have to worry about it breaking down on you. just my thoughts. Alas if you want the BMW tell the seller to let you take it to a Machanic of YOUR choice. and get it checked out if you havn't already.

Nope first car and they are a BMW used vehicle dealer right now exploring what's out there. My main worry is insurance and upkeep. (though on insurance the car will be fully paid)..
