54 lvl 3's with 4 letter names...?

Back in 2010 I took it upon myself to swipe up some of the last 4 letter names left in Runescape. I made sure all were letters, no numbers at all. Anyway, I find myself with a notepad file at the moment with 54 account usernames and passwords, all 4 letters. What's nice is that the logins are the old ones, meaning no need to type out an email.

My question is, does anyone think this is worth anything? Last I checked 3 letter usernames were the cutoff for "rare," but nowadays, Im pretty sure every 4 letter username has been taken. Im interested in any relevant suggestions/criticisms.

Also, hopefully this is the right place?

 

It takes half a secound to type in an email, I dont see the big Difference.

Tbh, no name is rare with display names any more.

 

To register a new account, dont you need to supply an email?

Let me preface by saying, 4 letter names by themselves are not rare.

That being said, if they resemble something meaningful, or 'cool', then yes, they are rare.

I'll give you a few examples:

Goat.
Boat.
Show.
Best.
Good.
Evil.
1337.
Leet.

While they are 4 letter names, they are still considered rare, due to them resembling something meaningful, as opposed to 'slku'.

Also, 4 letter names are certainly not all taken. There are, from a quick calculation, close to 1.5 million possible combinations.

 

I don't need a lecture on the rarity of names; I'm well versed in such subjects. I just wanted to know if a bulk set of uncommon names such as these might be worth a bit apiece or something significant as a whole.

And I believe your calculation for 4 letter names is off by a factor of 3, assuming we're using the English alphabet with its 26 letters

 

Nothing if their not meaningful to someone.

36^4 = 1.67 million.

 

Again, as the title says, these are 4 LETTER names. Not 4 letter/number combination names. If you were trying to calculate 4 character names, you'd also need to consider the space in your calculation.

The real question is, are the names themselves rare?

a56g wouldn't be considered rare because it doesn't mean anything

Yet, Boss would because it actually means something.

You can't start asking people if they're worth something when we have no clue what kind of names they are.

For instance, a 9 letter name such as "Runescape" would be worth more then a56e or something like that.

So it all depends on the name, regardless of the amount of letters.

 

What you said has been regurgitated before several times on this thread and is in no way constituting a new contribution to this thread. I've given you the parameters: the accounts are lvl 3, 4 letter names composed of ONLY letters. Some are phonetic, some resemble actual words, and others are simply cool looking (example "oaoo"). Im not asking for you all to judge the rarity based on the exact names, I'm hoping to get an idea of what 4 letter names, in bulk, could be sold for today?

While there are many combinations of letters that can be used to create a 4 letter name (keyword LETTER), it is my belief that ALL 4-letter names have been grabbed up, therefore making these names rare. Is this not a valid inference?
